Utimaco Safeware AG was one of the leading provider of professional data protection solutions. It also offered a fully integrated software-suite of data security solutions for data that is stored, transferred or edited, based on high-level encryption and centralized security policy management.

Within the scope of a capital increase, Cornerstone and Investcorp Technology Partners joined the listed company Utimaco and assisted the company in its turnaround. Utimaco Safeware AG, with very profitable revenues of EUR 55 million, was acquired and integrated by Sophos PLC, one of the world’s leading companies for endpoint security and control solutions. Today, a spin-off of Utimaco operates as Utimaco GmbH and belongs to EQT.
