Datamars SA is specialized in the identification of farm animals, pets and textiles. With its RFID technology, the company is one of the market leaders worldwide. The Ticino-based company globally employs around 1,000 people. Today, Datamars is owned by CDPQ of Canada and Columna Capital and generates very profitable revenues in excess of $ 100 million.

Pieter van Halem, as a board member and CEO of Cornerstone, helped to set up production facilities in Thailand, where around half of the employees now work. Cornerstone and its co-investors also financed the entry into the livestock market segment, which today has the highest growth rates.
